[edit] History
In the Harrisburg Stampede's inaugural game, they beat an opposing team of AIFA All-Stars, 46-26, in the 2009 AIFA Kickoff Classic.
After an 0-6 start to the 2011 season, Bernie Nowotarski was removed as General Manager and Head Coach of the Stampede. He was replaced by Josh Resignalo.
After the merger of the AIFA's eastern division and the SIFL, they played the 2011 season in the SIFL. The following season, the SIFL disbanded, leading the Stampede to rejoin their former league, which is now going by American Indoor Football.
In 2012 the team joined the AIF, American Indoor Football league, the league is ran by previous AIFA owner/CEO John Morris.
[edit] Ownership
The Harrisburg Stampede's founding ownership group consisted of John Morris, co-founder and former owner of the AIFA. Marques Colston also previously held a share in the team in the first season.
In January 2012 team owner John Morris sold the team to local businessman Justin Coble, who has moved quickly to broaden the fan base and reenergize the city of Harrisburg and the Stampede team.
As of Febuary 2012 new owner Justin Coble has started and created many new fan friendly events and brought in many new sponsors to go along with attracting soe of the top arena talent in the country.
