Hasaacas declined a request to play a mid-week friendly ahead of a key match against Kumasi Cornestone. The football association forced Hasaacas to move to Tarkwa as its home base. This decision was reversed following the coup in 1966 and a move back to Sekondi. At the same time as the repatriation, rival club Sekondi Indepence Club were banned.[2]
