The Heart-nosed Bat (Cardioderma cor) is a species of bat in the Megadermatidae family. It is monotypic within the genus Cardioderma.[citation needed] It is found in Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, caves, and hot deserts.
