"Heartland" is the title of a song written by Steve Dorff and John Bettis, and recorded by American country music singer George Strait. It was released in January 1993 as the second single from his soundtrack CD Pure Country. The song reached the top of the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) chart.[1]
