Helveta

Helveta are a supplier of systems for tracing products through supply chains. Their major product is a system called Control Intelligence System (CIS), which is used in Timber supply chains to ensure traceability, allow compliance checking, and enhance efficiency of certification systems such as the Forest Stewardship Council scheme. Helveta won the Environmental Achievement Award in November 2006, and CIS was named "technology of the month" by Technologies for Conservation and Development in January 2007. The company is based in Didcot, in Oxfordshire. Albion Ventures invested £1.4million in Helveta in 2006 to help fund the Company through a growth stage. In February 2008, the company was hired to run a system tracking all the timber in Liberia.[1]
