Highland Hills Middle School of the New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corporation (NAFCS) at 3492 Edwardsville Galena Road, Georgetown, Indiana 47122. It is nearby Floyd Central High School and Galena Elementary School. It opened in 2004. Students from Galena, Georgetown, Greenville, and Floyds Knobs going into sixth grade will go there. The school has three floors, one each for the 6th grade, 7th grade, and 8th grade. The grade levels are each divided into 3 "cores" with their own science, English and social studies teachers for their core. They are called green, gold, and black core. The school mascot is the jaguar. As of 2007, the school principal is Mr. Steve Griffin. The assistant principal is Ms. Hatton. The counselers of highland middle school are: Dr. Page for 6th grade, Mrs. Jacobi for 7th grade and Brian Lowry for 8th grade.
