[edit] ILP Forms and C.O.R.E.
Students have the opportunity to fill out an, "Individual Learning Plan," or, "ILP," so they can cover standards they missed or ones they have not worked on. The student may choose a standard or standard(s) and an activity that covers the standard(s) then record it on an ILP form. The ILP must then have a teacher signature, and a parent signature to make it official. Highland Tech also gives students the opportunity to leave school an hour and twenty minutes early on "Exploratory Friday" once a month if they have filled out an Off Campus ILP form allowing them to take part in a learning opportunity off-campus.
Highland Tech Charter School strives to provide a safe and nurturing environment by students, staff and parents who follow the "C.O.R.E" (Culture of Respect for Everyone) policy.
