The Highlander is a monthly publication serving the Highlands area and surrounding neighborhoods in Louisville, Ky. The Highlander spotlights area residents and businesses and contains a community calendar, historical features, neighborhood news, columns, and more. Content is contributed by local writers, photographers, associations, neighbors and friends.

The Highlander is available for free pickup at approximately 175 area locations, including groceries, pharmacies, restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and a large variety of other local businesses. The Highlander's coverage area includes Belknap, Bonnycastle, Cherokee Triangle, Clifton, Crescent Hill, Deer Park, German-Paristown, Highlands-Douglass, Irish Hill, Kingsley, NuLu (East Market district), Original Highlands, Phoenix Hill, Seneca Gardens, Strathmoor Village, Strathmoor Manor, Tyler Park, Upper Highlands, and Wellington. More than 20,000 issues are distributed by the first of each month.
