Hind Leys is an educational institution situated within the town of Shepshed. The college takes in students from a variety of areas including Shepshed, Loughborough, Belton, Kegworth, Diseworth, Melton Mowbray and Castle Donington. The college caters for pre-16 as well post-16 students, which allows those finishing their GCSEs to make a smooth transition into A-Levels without having to re-adjust to a new learning environment. The school holds specialist Arts College status.
The college also provides a much wider range of services to the local community. Enclosed within the college is a crèche, complemented by the Shepshed toy library situated nearby. In the evenings, it also provides the necessary facilities in order to host various clubs and societies ranging from sports to lessons in a foreign language.
Situated near to the college is also a local swimming pool and Shepshed High School, a mixed comprehensive school for students aged between 10 to 14.
