Hinduja Bank (Switzerland) Ltd was founded as a finance company in 1978 and became a Swiss regulated bank in 1994. Hinduja Bank has its headquarters in Geneva and has a developed network in Switzerland including offices in Lucerne, Zurich, Lugano, St Margrethen, and Basle. Additionally, it has a global presence in London, Dubai, Paris, New York, Mauritius, and Chennai.
Hinduja Bank (Switzerland) Ltd is part of the Hinduja Group.
In December 2009, it was announced that Hinduja Bank acquired a majority stake in Chennai-based Paterson Securities.
Hinduja Bank also has a Middle Eastern subsidiary with a Category 1 Banking Licence, this new licence enables it to provide a full range of banking services from the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).
