The Hinterlands of Khuresh are a fictitious location in the Warhammer Fantasy role playing games.
They are the equivalent of Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and Burma in the real world, and is located south of Grand Cathay and east of the Kingdoms of Ind (Warhammer) in a long peninsula. It is covered in forests, and homelands to wild animals including some Skaven, Lizardmen and Forest Goblins. The Hinterlands of Khuresh is a place that has endless supplies of Warpstone, a bright green, extremely powerful and dangerous mineral that Skaven treasure and use with deadly efficiency. In the centre of the Hinterlands is the Lost City of the Old Ones, a ruined Lizardman city.
They are one of the many locations in the Warhammer setting that has not been consistent, with earlier maps locating them to the North of Cathay rather than their current location to the south of it.
