- Chione (daughter of Boreas), mother of Eumolpus by Poseidon. Out of fear, Chione threw Eumolpus into the sea, where he was saved by his father, Poseidon, and was raised by Amphitrite's daughter, Benthesikyme.
- Chione (daughter of Daedalion), mother of Philammon and Autolycus by Apollo and Hermes respectively. She claimed that her beauty then surpassed that of the goddess, Artemis. Outraged, Artemis shot and killed Chione with an arrow. In the midst of his grief, Daedalion, threw himself off of Mount Parnassus and was turned into a hawk by Apollo.
