History (formerly known as The History Channel) is an Asian television channel with shows on historical events and persons. The channel is owned by AETN All Asia Networks, a joint-venture between A&E Television Networks, owner of the American History, and Astro Holdings Sdn Bhd.

AETN All Asia Networks was formed on 15 June 2007 through a joint venture between A&E Television Networks and Malaysia's pay TV provider Astro. Headquartered in Singapore, AETN All Asia Networks also have operations in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.[1]

In 2009, AETN All Asia Networks struck a US$800,000 co-production deal with the National Film Development Corporation of Malaysia to co-produce programmes to be featured across its channels.[2] It has recently hired SPE Networks as a regional ad sales representative across the South East Asian region.[3]

On September 1, 2008 History Channel Asia was officially launch their own History HD Asia channel in Singapore and Hong Kong, followed by Japan, South Korea, India, Philippines and Malaysia.[4][5][6][7]
