The Hosiery Association (THA) is the global trade organization advocating for the specific needs of hosiery manufacturers. The Hosiery Association is a 501c6 nonprofit trade organization, which represents all categories of legwear makers, marketers, distributors, sellers and suppliers to the business. The mission of THA is to support its members' productivity and profitability globally by mitigating legislative, regulatory, trade and marketplace inhibitors.
The Hosiery Association, based in Charlotte, North Carolina was founded in 1905 as the National Association of Hosiery and Underwear Manufacturers. In 1933 the organization changed its name to the National Association of Hosiery Manufacturers, and merged in 1956 with the Southern Hosiery Manufacturers Association. In 1999 NAHM merged with the Carolina Hosiery Association to form the Hosiery Association.
