[edit] Biography

Born in Chicago, Gray and his older brother, rapper Guerilla Black, moved several times before settling in Hattiesburg, then relocating to Compton on a permanent basis when he was twenty.[1] Hot Dollar was signed to Island Def Jam by new head of urban music Jermaine Dupri in early 2007, and the single "Two Steppin' (Streets on Lock)" was released, followed by his debut album for the label, My Dreams... A Day in the Life.[1][2]

Hot Dollar was working on a new album for early 2009, which featured the hit, "Switch Ya Swag Up," now in regular rotation on LA's Power 106. He was managed by Jeremy Rosen of LA-based, Roxwell Management, Inc.[3]
