Howell Middle School North (previously known as Howell Township Middle School from 1997–1999) is a middle school located in Howell Township, New Jersey, and is also a part of the Howell Township Public School District. In 1997, Howell Middle School North became the first middle school constructed in Howell; thus moving all elementary school students from grades 7 to 8 to their vicinity. During the 1999-2000 school year, Howell Township allowed sixth grade students to attend their school upon the construction of Howell Middle School South. The school's mascot is a hornet.
