Hranice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈɦraɲɪtsɛ]; German: Weißkirchen or Mährisch Weißkirchen), sometimes called Hranice na Moravě ([ˈɦraɲɪtsɛ ˈna moravjɛ]), is a town in Moravia, the eastern Czech Republic.
In the Austria-Hungary era,[1] in the interbellum Czechoslovakia,[2] and during the Communist Czechoslovakia times[3] the city had a military academy. Notable graduates include Wilhelm von Habsburg[1].
The deepest abyss in the Czech Republic, Hranice Abyss is located by the town.
