Geographic Range[edit]

This kind of species typically found in China,[1] (Shaanxi, Shanxi, Cansu, Sichuan REF, and Henan). Moreover, The subspecies Mesechinus, hugi hugi found in southern Shaanxi and Sichuan, M.h. middon occurs in Shaanxi and Gansu,[1] and M.h. sylvaticus occurs in Shanxi and is known to be located in the Zhongtiao mountain region.[1]

The population status of this class are not obtainable,[1] Due to the fact that this kind of species are facing drop in overharvesting.[1]

Habitat and Ecology[edit]

It exists in dry savanna.[1] There are data concerning the ecology of this species.[1]

Threats[edit]

The major danger to this kind of species is during the process of cropping for food and medicine.[1]
