"I've Been Waiting for You" is a song written by Neil Young for his debut solo album in 1968. The band Wild Butter released a cover version in 1970: United Artists, UAS 6766. David Bowie recorded a version of the song, which features David Grohl on guitar, for his Heathen album in 2002 prior to releasing the song as a single in Canada. The song has also been covered by the Pixies and released on the b-side of their single "Velouria". It was also covered by Dinosaur Jr. for the tribute album The Bridge: A Tribute to Neil Young, but never released.
