INpulse

INpulse is a prepaid service provided by Verizon Wireless which was previously known as FreeUp. Another option that used to be offered from Verizon was called EasyPay which was a monthly payment plan without a contract. One notable feature of the INpulse plan is that Verizon allows prepaid customers to take advantage of their nationwide, unlimited IN calling program, which means they can call any Verizon prepaid or postpaid customer at any time for free.[1]
On October 31, 2007, Verizon announced two new INpulse plans, in addition to their original offering. Each of the three new plans charges a daily access fee ($0.99, $1.99, or $2.99), with a lower per-minute or per-text message rate for each tier. The new plans also gave INpulse customers access to Get It Now, where they could download multimedia such as music through the V CAST service. V CAST Video is not yet available on the INPulse plan; Verizon plans to make this feature available to prepay customers sometime in late 2009.[2]

An addition to the Unlimited Verizon to Verizon calling offered with each of the INpulse plans, customers can now take advantage of the extension allowing Verizon to Alltel calls free as well, due to Verizon's recent acquisition of Alltel.
