IPdrum was a supplier of hardware and software to the vast growing market for mobile internet telephony also called VoIP to Mobile. The company's flagship product was the IP VoiceLink which is a Mobile Skype Solution. IP Drums first "proof of concept" product was a cable named Mobile Skype Solution and gained significant media attention when it was launched in September 2005.[citation needed]

The IP VoiceLink solution worked as a gateway between an IP program on your computer, like Skype and the user's mobile phone, enabling any mobile phone on the GSM network to become an Internet Mobile Telephone or a Skype Mobile. With a cheap or free calling plan between the IP VoiceLink and user's mobile phone one could make international calls at local rates with SkypeOut from all mobile phones.

Nick Oritini sold the company to Toronoto based Intex in 2008.
