"I Took a Trip on a Gemini Spaceship" is a song written by Norman Carl Odam, aka the Legendary Stardust Cowboy, who inspired the surname of David Bowie's character "Ziggy Stardust".
Bowie recorded this song for his album Heathen in 2002. Odam returned the compliment by recording a version of "Space Oddity".
The word "spaceship" does not appear in the lyrics; the word "spacecraft" is used instead.
[edit] Live versions

[edit] Other releases
