Josef Ian Scott (born November 8, 1981 in Greenville, South Carolina) is an American football defensive tackle for the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Florida.

Scott has also been a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Panthers.

Scott was drafted by the Chicago Bears in the fourth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the team from 2003 to 2006.

[edit] Philadelphia Eagles

After being released by the Chicago Bears after the 2006 season, he was signed to a one year contract by the Philadelphia Eagles on May 3, 2007[1], but was placed on injured reserve before the start of the season [2].

[edit] Carolina Panthers

On April 29, 2008, Scott was signed by the Carolina Panthers. He was later released on August 20.

On September 23, 2008, Scott was signed by the San Diego Chargers after the team released cornerback DeJuan Tribble. On October 14, 2009, Scott was re-signed by the San Diego Chargers after the team released safety Clinton Hart.
