Idi Katha Kaadu (Telugu: ఇది కథ కాదు) is a 1979 Indian Telugu language Drama film directed by K. Balachander starring Kamal Haasan, Jayasudha, Sarath Babu, Chiranjeevi, Saritha, and Ramaprabha.[1] It is a remake of Balachander's earlier Tamil hit Avargal (1977), which also won a national award. Kamal Hassan stars in both languages. This film has Chiranjeevi as the villainous husband of Jayasudha (Rajinikanth starred as the husband in Tamil). The film was shot in Black and white[2]

The heroine separates from her husband and lives as a single working mother. Enter into the life of the heroine two men who want to marry her. The film takes a lot of interesting twists that keeps the viewer gripped.
This movie is a super hit. It ran for 150 days.
