"If I Ever Fall In Love" was covered in 1996 as a duet by East 17 and Gabrielle (with a backing track), and renamed "If You Ever". It reached #2 in the UK, behind Say You'll Be There by the Spice Girls, and #4 in Latvia. It was also one of only three songs by Gabrielle to reach the Top 20 in Australia, peaking at #16.
The song was the first single from East 17's first Greatest Hits compilation Around the World Hit Singles: The Journey So Far, and was also the fourth single from Gabrielle's second self-titled album. It was the highest charting single from both aforementioned albums. The song was also the 11th biggest selling boyband single of the 1990s in the UK selling 510,000 copies and has received a Gold sales status certification.
"Accidental Buttsex" is a Parody of this song by the internet comedy conglomerateFunny or Die. The lyrical premise of this song is that a man, presumably the video creator "Mike Apple", attempts to engage in coitus with an un-named brunette woman, but while attempting to insert his penis into her vulva in the doggystyle position, but accidentally misses. He "aims an inch too high" and accidentally has anal sex. He ceases to perform the act soon after because as he comically puts it, he is "scared of poop", which comes out of the anus. According to the website, the video was released "over three years ago". It has 8,361 views and is rated "88% funny" according to the official website as of 16:01 GMT December 10th, 2012.
"If I Ever Fall In Love" was covered again in 2010 by AVRI and his vocalist Noam. Yet again it was renamed "If You Ever". The song was the first single of AVRI in the American dance label "KULT RECORDS".
