| Description |
English: The underside of a dancer's foot thong, showing the leather pads that cover the ball of the foot. The pads provide limited traction, yet have enough "slip" to allow turning (while protecting against skin abrasion). They also provide limited cushioning from hard impacts that can occur during leaps and acro dance tricks. |
