In the Life is a gay and lesbian television newsmagazine that is broadcast on PBS. It is one of public television's premiere educational programs and is nearing its 15th season on national broadcast. It is the longest running LBGT television program in history and is a three-time Emmy Award nominee.

The series was regularly commentated by Tony Award-winning actor Harvey Fierstein from 2001-2004. Past hosts of the show include Kate Clinton and Katherine Linton.
