Indian states ranked by rape

This is a list of States and Union Territories of India ranked according to rate of Rape incidents as on 2012. The list is compiled from the 2012 Crime in India Report published by National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), Government of India.The rate and rank are calculated according to the number of rape incidents per 1,00,000 of the population.

According to National Crime Records Bureau data,[1] Gujarat has the lowest rape rate (0.8) while the National Average was at 2.1. Mizoram had the highest rape rate with a value of 10.1
