Indianapolis is a 1985 song by the famous boy band Menudo. Its message is centralized on the famous auto race, the Indianapolis 500.
Indianapolis became a #1 hit in Puerto Rico and most of the rest of Latin America, in Japan and the Philippines, giving many Menudo fans hope that their days of glory would keep on going for a long period; instead it turned out to be one of the last major hits the group had.
Menudo won an award that year in Japan for the release of this and other songs that year.
Indianapolis also had considerable success in the United States with an English version, but the English version's success was small compared to the song's success at the aforementioned areas.
