[edit] Bomb blasts

On 20 October 2009 at least six people were killed in bomb explosions at the new campus by suicide bombers.[3]

One bomb blast took place in the cafeteria of the Woman's Campus killing four and injuring several others. A second blast took place in the Shariah Block of the Male campus minutes after the first one. The bomb blasts caused a huge stir resulting in closing of all the educational institutions in the country for at least a week.
