International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) is the international regulatory body promoting water skiing, wakeboarding and other water sports, setting the official rules of water skiing and official tournaments, coordinating the work of national federations. Before 2009 the IWWF had the name IWSF. It was renamed at the Congress 2009 in Calgary.

The IWSF was originally found in 1955. In 1967 the IWSF was regognized the first time by the International Olympic Comity in Thearan. At the Olympics in 1972 in Münich, Waterski was the first time Demonstration Sport and part of the Olympic Games. In 1998 IWSF managed it, that Wakeboard was officially regognized by the IOC.

The IWWF is also member of the General Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF).

President of the IWWF is Kuno Ritschard.

The IWWF has in the moment 84 Member Nations with tenthousends of skier, skater and wakeboarding members.

The Order of Merit is awarded at the discretion of the Executive Board of the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) to individuals who have made meaningful contributions to the sport of water skiing which do not fall within the guidelines for the Hall of Fame.
