The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (وزارت امور خارجه in Persian) is an Iranian government ministry. The Minister for Foreign Affairs is the Cabinet member in charge.
The first Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran was Mirza Abdolvahhab Khan Mo'tamed od-Dowleh Neshat who served between 1819 and 1824. Current Minister of Foreign Affairs is Manouchehr Mottaki, appointed in August, 2005.
Ramin Mehmanparsat is the official spokesman.
