The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Persian: وزارت امور خارجه Vezârat-e Omur-e Khâreje) is an Iranian government ministry. The Minister for Foreign Affairs' is the cabinet member in charge of the ministry.
The first Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran was Mo'tamed od-Dowleh Neshat, who served between 1911 and 1924. The incumbent Minister of Foreign Affairs is Ali Akbar Salehi, who was appointed on 13 December 2010 after the abrupt dismissal of Manouchehr Mottaki during a trip to Africa.
Ramin Mehmanparsat is the current spokesman.
