Istočni Mostar (Serbian Cyrillic: Источни Мостар) is a municipality in Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Overview[edit]

It was also known as Srpski Mostar (Српски Мостар), and was created from part of the pre-war municipality of Mostar (the other part of the pre-war municipality is now in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina). The name Istočni Mostar also refers to the eastern part of Mostar city, which is in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This municipality consists of Zijemlje and has only 280 inhabitants, most of whom are Serbs.[1]

The seat of municipality is in Zijemlje.[2]
