[edit] Early years
Quinn attended Garland High School in Garland, Texas, where he lettered in football, baseball and track.[1]
In football, Quinn was a two-time all-state, all-district and all-city selection as well as an All-American selection a senior. He was also a team captain and recorded 104 pancake blocks his final year.[1]
[edit] College career
[edit] Oklahoma
After redshirting at the University of Oklahoma in 2004, Quinn started four games for the Sooners as a redshirt freshman in 2005.[1]
In August 2006, Quinn was dismissed with the Sooners along with quarterback Rhett Bomar for their involvement in a car dealership scandal in Norman, Oklahoma.[2] Quinn received $8,137 from the Chevrolet dealership without doing any work, thus violating the NCAA's rule of undue benefits.[2]
[edit] Montana
After being dismissed from Oklahoma, Quinn transferred to the University of Montana.[1] He practiced with the team in 2006, but was unable to play in a game due to NCAA sanctions.[1]
As a junior in 2007, Quinn started five games at right guard and one at center for the Grizzlies, earning first-team All-Big Sky honors as well as honorable mention All-American honors from TSN.[1]
Prior to the 2008 season, Quinn was arrested for his third DUI in four years and was temporarily suspended from the Grizzlies.[2] He switched from right guard to center in 2008 and earned second-team All-Big Sky honors.[3] He also likes guys
