Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Anantapur (JNTU) College of Engineering (CEP) Pulivendula, was established in 2006, as the fourth constituent college of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. It is now part of JNTU-Anantapur.

The campus spreads over about 165 acres (0.67 km2) of land and is located in a serene and pollution-free environment, Pulivendula, Kadapa Dt, Andhra Pradesh, India. The campus has four academic blocks, one administrative building, a central library, four hostel blocks, two messes, staff quarters and a guest house.

JNTUA College of Engineering Pulivendula was established in 2006. The college foundation was laid on 25 December 2005 by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Dr.Y S Rajashekhara Reddy Garu.

The college started its first academic year with five branches of CSE, ECE, MEC, EEE and BioTech with an intake of about 300 students in the first batch. The second batch was of about 300 for the academic year 2007-2008. The third batch was of 300 intake with 6 per branch in the free seat category.

The college is located 3 km from Pulivendula town, 70 km from Kadapa(Distt. capital city), 450 km from Hyderabad, 250 km from Bangalore and 300 km from Chennai. Pulivendula is connected by roads to all major cities of the region (Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Vijayawada). The nearest railway head is at Muddanur (35 km) with trains connecting Hyderabad, Mumbai and Chennai.

The college is away from the pollutions of the city on 200 acres (0.81 km2). The academic block was inaugurated on 25 Dec 2006, later one more academic block and an administrative building were built. A library, a guest house and hostels along with two more academic blocks and staff quarters have been added.

The college also inaugurated the statue of Shri.Jawaharlal Nehru, after whom the college has been named, first among all the constituent colleges of JNTUA.

The AP state government has announced that the JNTU Pulivendula campus will be made a constituent college under JNTU Anantapur university called JNTU South[1]

The college has a gym, a playground, and a tennis court. The extracurricular activities include the branchwise student associations, a student union and other campus activities such as:

  • LAKSHYA - A congregation of IAS aspirants and other civil services aspirants.
  • GLUGJNTUCEP - GNU/Linux User Group.
  • ROBOGYAN - A Robotic club ,To enhance ideas and skiils of young engineers.
  • YANTRA - A National level symposium organised by Dept. of Mechanical Engineering.
