John (Jack) Richard Williams (October 29, 1909 - August 24, 1998), a dedicated political conservative, was a radio announcer, advertising writer, mayor of Phoenix, and the 13th governor of Arizona. Elected governor in 1966, he served until 1975 and was the first governor chosen for a four-year term.[1]

Williams is perhaps best remembered for the catch phrase that he used to open his radio broadcasts: "It's another beautiful day in Arizona. Leave us all enjoy it."[2]

He died August 24, 1998.
