Jaisalmer Airport (IATA: JSAICAO: VIJR) is located at Jaisalmer in the Rajashthan province of India.

Jaisalmer Airport is primarily an Indian Air Force base. The airport has a single runway of 9,000 feet (2,700 m) in length and 150 feet (46 m) in width.

Airlines and destinations [edit]

No scheduled commercial air service at this time. At present, a new civil airport is under construction and Jaisalmer shall soon have a new airport terminal.

New Civil Airport [edit]

The construction of civil airport at Jaisalmeri Shilp Kala on Khuhadi route, 8 km from the Jaisalmer district headquarters, is in the final stages.[1] The airport is around 12 kilometres away from Jaisalmer. Airports Authority of India is constructing the Airport. The airport is being built on 24 hectares of land with a cost of Rs 60 crore.
