Jake Moore (born 1964) is a textile artist who has worked with large scale installation and immersive environments for over 10 years. She has exhibited at The Walter Phillips Gallery, The Canadian Museum for Textiles, The Winnipeg Art Gallery and Ace Art Inc. She often exhibits in site specific locations. Alongside her studio art practice, Jake performs in audio and graphic design collaboration with her partner Steve Bates as USSA.
A recipient of many awards and scholarships from the Canada Council to SSHRC, Moore's practice continues to maintain a DIY aesthetic and focus on the amplification of voices not easily heard and the reinvestigation of mythologies and hegemonics to do so.
Previously, Jake also hosted a show on WTN in Canada called Shameless Shorts.
