[edit] History
The first stage of Jamberoo Recreation Park was completed in time for the staging of the 1980 Australian Grass Ski Titles.
In 1981 the waterslide was constructed and the park began to grow from there on. They closed down the grass skiing to build the toboggan and many new swimming pools and rides were constructed.
In 2006, the name of the park was changed from "Jamberoo Recreation Park" to Jamberoo Action Park" .
[edit] Rides and Attractions
[edit] Thrill rides
- The Mountain Toboggans - (also known as the bobsleds). There are two tracks - a slow track for beginners and double bobsleds, and a fast track suited for more experienced riders. The Bobsleds are accessed by the Alpine Chairlift.
- The Taipan - A large water slide similar to Splash Out with a cover, it is very dark.
- Surf Hill - An 8 lane aquaracer, similar to the one at Wet'n'Wild Water World. It is electronically timed and started.
Due to the limitations placed on development by local planning instruments, a pale shade of green was used for the slide, so as not to adversely affect the physical amenity of the area.
