James Plaintain

James Plantain (or Plaintain) (16??-17??), also called "King of Ranter Bay", was a pirate and leader in Madagascar. In 1725, Plantain, who was previously a pirate, came to the harbour[clarification needed] in 1715 before gaining control of the island. In fear of rebellion, he fled the island in 1728.
