James Rocchi

James Rocchi is a freelance film critic living and working in Los Angeles. He currently writes reviews for MSN.com, amctv.com, Redbox, Mother Jones Magazine and other outlets. He is a current member of the Los Angeles Film Critics Society, the Online Film Critics Society and the Broadcast Film Critics Association. He was the former head film critic for Netflix Corporation (2000-2006), wrote for the AOL movie blog Cinematical.com (2006-2009), and was also a reviewer for KPIX TV in San Francisco (2006-2008), and wrote Rocchi's Retro Rental for the SFgate.com (2007-2009).

Mr. Rocchi is an alumnus of the University of Western Ontario, where he was heavily involved with the campus radio station, CHRW-FM. While in university, he was a member of the University of Western Ontario Debating Society, the top debating union in North America in the 1990s. He was one of the world's top public speakers, winning the public speaking titles at the Canadian National Debating Championship and the World Universities Debating Championship.
