Jangareddygudem (occasionally seen as JRG) refers to a town in the West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, India. One of the economic centers of the district, it is a Revenue division (Revenue division of its district), JRG currently contains 21 village councils (panchayats).

Jangareddygudem is located at Template:Co-ord.[1] It is surrounded on three sides by rivers, and on the last by hills. The average elevation in the town is 74 meters above sea level (246 ft).
Jangareddygudem is coarsely divided into several areas: the Masjid Center, Ganganama Gudi Centre, JP Centre, Bose Bomma Centre, Old Bus Stand Centre, Bhagath Singh Centre, College Centre, Rajula Colony, Subbareddy Colony, Sai Krishna Nagar, Rama Chandra Puram, Markandeya Puram, Subbampet, Gowri Sankar Puram, Buttaigudem Center and Vijya Lakshmi Colony,Uppalmetta.

The process of electronically auctioning tobacco was first introduced in India, at the Jangareddygudem tobacco yard.
The State Govt Recently upgraded as Nagarpanchayat from Major Panchayat.
Karatam Rambabu is a Senior politician. Other notable members are Jetti Gurunadharao (Market Yard Chairman, Polavaram), Mandavalli Vijaya Saradhi (Ex-Surpanch), MSR(BJP), Muppidi Srinivasa Rao (Ex-ZPTC), Kurru Ravi Kumar (Y.S.R.Congress), Atluri Suresh, Kakarla Narasimaha Murthy, and Rajana Pandu from Telugu Desam, Atchuta Srinivasa Rao, Gouthu Ramu, Maddala Prasad and Mallipudi Ravi from Praja Rajyam.

Devarapalli-Surya Peta Highway which connects Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry and Kakinada with the State Capital is passing through this town. Jangareddigudem is having APSRTC Depot which operates bus services to all major places in the District and Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Bhadrachalam. Private Travels are also operating Bus Services to Hyderabad.

This town is not connected with Trains. However, a proposal for construction of new Railway line from Kovvur to Bhadrachalam which may be passes through this town is pending with Indian Railways. At present, the nearest Railway Station is Eluru(54 Km], Tadepalligudem(57 Km) and Rajahmundry(67 Km)
