Jason Derulo's official first single is a self written track produced by the hitmaking duo The Fliptones entitled Algebra. This song is currently making its rounds on radio and is quickly becoming a download favorite on top blogsites. Algebra which Jason describes as his "life story", is a metaphor for those who told him that he would never be a star" as he so boldly states in the chorus "I Can be a star tomorrow if I just get rid of you!"
In June 2009, a new song titled Whatcha Say was released. It samples the Imogen Heap song "Hide And Seek". It has been released to radio and is already receiving many spins.
