[edit] History

Burns began his career as an entertainment journalist. His assignment to write a story on independent comics landed him an interview with Viper Comics publisher Jessie Garza. In 2004 Garza reviewed screenplays Burns had written and hired him to do a short story anthology for the book Dead@17: Rough Cut, Volume 1.

Since that time, Burns has written almost exclusively for Viper Comics and created such titles as The Expendable One, A Dummy's Guide to Danger, The Underworld Railroad, The Sleepy Truth. Although much of his work has been published through Viper Comics Burns is also set to release a title through Devil's Due Publishing in August entitled Serpo.[1]

Burns has also tried a career in Hollywood, writing screenplays and developing a number of projects for film and television. In May 2007, his title The Expendable One was slated to become a motion picture with producers Trevor Macy and Mark Evans of Intrepid Pictures.[2]
