Jeeva (21 September 1963 – 25 June 2007) was a popular cinematographer and film director in Tamil cinema.

The four completed films he directed, namely 12B, Run (Hindi version), Ullam Ketkumae and Unnale Unnale, have become blockbusters. He died after suffering acute cardiac arrest in Russia on 25 June at the age of 43. At the time of his death, he was busy with the final schedule of his latest film, Dhaam Dhoom.[1] He is survived by his wife, Anees and two children, Sana Mariam and Aalia.

Jeeva was married to Anneesha with whom he has got two children. He was relation on actor Arya.Jeeva had converted to Islam upon marriage. Director Vasanth was his brother-in-law.[2]
