Jeff Beatty was born in Passaic, New Jersey.
Jeff attended Memorial High School in Cedar Grove, NJ graduating in 1970.
Beatty attended Rutgers University and majored in Sociology.

Beatty ran, unsuccessfully in the 2008 U.S. Senate election for Massachusetts. Running against incumbent John Kerry, Beatty lost in a landslide defeat winning only 31% of the vote.
