Jeffrey Allen Jones (born July 29, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He played for the Oakland Athletics from 1980 until 1984. He is currently the pitching coach for the Detroit Tigers.

He graduated from Southgate Anderson High School in Southgate, Michigan

Jeff was the pitching coach for the London Tigers (AA)in 1989, 1991-1992. He then went to the Toledo Mud Hens in 1990 and 1994 to be their pitching coach.

On July 3, 2011, Jones was moved from the Tigers bullpen coach to their pitching coach after pitching coach Rick Knapp was fired after his pitchers gave up a combined 54 runs in six games against the New York Mets and San Francisco Giants. He has two daughters, Audrey and Whitney.
