[edit] Sports

The school's main rivals are Lakeside, Geneva, and Conneaut High Schools. They used to play in the NEC (North East Conference). They are now independent of any conferences. The school is known for its ability to get scholarships to small schools around the area such as Gannon University. Its best known sports figure is Matthew Hatchette who played Wide Receiver for the Falcons through high school and was drafted in the 7th round of the NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings and went on to play for the New York Jets, the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the NFL Europa team Amsterdam Admirals before leaving the league after 2003. The Falcon Tennis Team has been successful in past years, being the dominant team in the NEC.
