Jeffrey Friedl

Jeffrey Friedl (born 1966, "Friedl" sounds like "free-dole") is a software engineer known for his book on regular expressions, Mastering Regular Expressions (O'Reilly 1997, 2002, 2006).

Jeffrey has worked for Omron Tateishi Denki (1989–1997) and Yahoo! Finance (1997–2005), and is now a consultant. He lives in Kyoto, Japan with his family. He frequently blogs about Japan and his interests in photography and Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
